We purchased the pinery feeder at our local TSC store. Liked the looks of it and were hoping that it might be a little harder for the woodpeckers to get at because of the position of the feeding holes. They still manage to get at it but with difficulty. My only other quirk is that the roof is too small We live in Northern Ontario and get a lot of snow. I already have to go out daily and clear the snow from the perch and winter is just getting started. If the roof was larger to cover the perch a little more this might stop the snow from falling straight down and covering the perch. My husband is now thinking about placing a large plastic bowl over the feeder to help alleaveate this problem. Too bad that it will take away from the lovely profile of the feeder...
